Orihon Privacy Policy

Effective 27 October 2026

Orihon is a private journal. What you write, seal, draw and paste into it is yours, and it stays with you. This page says plainly what the app does with your information.

The short version

Your book

Your entries, seals, ink, photos and settings are stored on your iPhone. When iCloud sync is on (it is by default, and you can switch it off in App Settings), they are also stored in your private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can read. Apple runs iCloud under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Health

If you turn on the health stamp, Orihon reads steps, exercise, sleep and resting heart rate from Apple Health, with your permission, to show them on your pages. It never writes to Health. These numbers are kept in a separate store on your iPhone only. They are never synced to iCloud and are left out of exports unless you choose to include them.

Photos, camera and microphone

Face ID and Touch ID

If you lock your book, iOS checks your face or fingerprint. Orihon only learns whether the check passed. It never sees your biometric data.

Sharing into Orihon

When you share a photo, a link or text into Orihon from another app, it is added to your book. Orihon does not fetch the web page behind a link.

Exports and sharing out

Export Everything, page exports and custom orihons are made only when you ask, and go only where you send them through Apple's share sheet or Files.

Purchases

Optional skins are bought through Apple. Orihon receives only whether you own a skin, never your payment details.

Children

Orihon collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Orihon will never start collecting your information without asking first.
